After a fight with Mr T, Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) is back for more. This time around, it is Russia that is playing the part of the competitor and the face of the Russian competition is none other than Drago, (Dolf Lundgren) considered to be the perfect fighting machine. Apollo trained Rocky in the last movie and now they are best of friends. Although Drago wants to fight Rocky, Apollo believes that he should be given the chance. After agreeing to support Apollo in his vendetta, the tension builds between the two fighters before they even enter the ring. It is slated to be an exhibition fight and after James Brown does his introductory song of 'Living in America,' it looks like Apollo is ready for some fast footwork, then things begin to go quickly downhill.

Balboa and his team realize that this was going to be a painful lesson for everyone and amidst threats to stop the fight after the first round, Apollo demands that he be allowed to go on fighting. The fight turns into tragedy as Apollo succumbs to a onslaught of blows that will end up taking his life. Balboa is now torn between his wife's concern for his safety and the revenge he must seek for the death of his friend. Revenge will win over as a match is slated to take place on December 25th in Russia. For the next few weeks Balboa must train like he has never trained before to prepare for the fight of his life and he does this in Russia where the climate is anything but friendly and the people appear to be much worse. Written and directed by Sylvester Stallone, this drama keeps up with the trend from one through three.

Big names to look for include Talia Shire, (Adrian the wife) Burt Young (the brother in law) and Brigitte Nielsen (Drago's wife). What happened when videographer Jeremiah Warren strapped a tiny, $120 dollar wide-angle HD camera to a boatload of fireworks and hit record? Patriotism, my friends.
